Is it always wise to paint a ceiling?

I am going to be painting my walls a dark Nut Brown and a peanut butter brown. A rusty orange to compliment. Should i leave the ceiling alone or should i paint it? If so , what color?

Should i use crown molding? It is not a huge living room and i dont want it to look like overkill. Is it always wise to paint a ceiling?
Don't paint your ceiling a dark color or the ceiling will feel like it is falling in on you. Do paint it a very light beige, if it is white now. If you leave it white, it will stick out like a sore thumb. You are using warm colors by choosing brown shades, that is why a very light brown on your ceiling is recommended. Crown molding is a nice touch, but not needed to make a room look fantastic. Good luck!!Is it always wise to paint a ceiling?
If it's a big living room, I think crown molding would look nice. Just make sure the style of the molding is in keeping with the style of the house, and your personal decorating style.

As for the cieling paint, things to consider:

-The current condition of the cieling. (ie any stains? faded?)

-The current colour (will it match with the new wall colour?)

-Do you prefer the look of a coloured cieling over a white one?
One way to eleganize a room is to put crown moulding on the ceiling. Makes it elegant. Use white paint to bring out the emphasis for your moulding. I suggest subtle color for the ceiling, not try to match your wall color. If it was me, I would use a bluinsh white color. I think they call it winter white. Don't use dingy colors like light tan or light green. It will make your ceiling dirty and undesireable.
An orange ceiling might look good with that wall color. However, it will be a lot of work to paint over it if you ever change your mind. Painting a ceiling is hard enough... painting it enough to cover a saturated color like that will be three times as bad.
Paint the ceiling, counting it a fifth wall. You could use a third color, something that goes with your theme or furniture. The first thing that popped into my mind was a Tiffany blue! What about yellow? What about taupe? Teal? Lots of possibilities.
Well it depends on how funky u r. If it were me, i'd paint the ceiling the nut brown, then it'd be dark in there, but with a lot of lights, it'd b kinda cool. BUt don't listen 2 me...i like weird stuf
