I need suggestions on what color to paint our ceiling and trim to go with the taupe walls.?

Traditionally, ceilings are always painted white (or a light off-white) simply because you don't want to feel like the ceiling is low (color will do that) or run into lighting problems (other colors will make rooms darker, harder to light.) So, unless you're going for some different, off-the-wall theme, you might want to keep it white/off-white.





Taupe is an earth tone, so any earth tones will go well. Since you want to make sure that your colors blend with your furniture, window treatments, etc., you might want to choose a lighter shade of taupe, or a dark cream color. Just make sure you choose restful colors so you won't end up getting tired of the resulting choice.
