Want to paint my ceiling, how do I get square feet measurement?

multiple the length and width

if multiple rooms do it for each and add them all up!Want to paint my ceiling, how do I get square feet measurement?
length x width = sq. ft.Want to paint my ceiling, how do I get square feet measurement?
multiply the length x width to get the square footage
The floor measurement will be the same.
Measure the length and the width and multiply them together. This assumes that the ceiling is a rectangle not some strange shape.
lenght X width = square feet

1 gallon covers about 300-400 sq. feet depends on surface
Easy answer length time width, equals SF, one gallon covers most any room, - but sweep dust off cieling first, and make sure you have a good cut in brush, or edger. Keep roller away from the wall.
Length X Width = Square Feet
If you have a regular rectangular room, simply multiply the length by the width. A=L x W

If you have an irregularly shaped room (L-shaped room) Divide the area into 2 smaller rectangles and apply the above formula, but this time, add the areas of the 2 rectangles that you came up with.

Area of 1st Rectangle= L x W

Area of 2nd Recangle= L x W

Total Area = area of Rectangle 1 + area of Rectangle 2

If you have an angled side: Do the procedure for irregularly shaped rooms.

For the angled portion ONLY: Assume that the angled portion is a perfect rectangle by getting the maximum length and width, then dividing the product by 2, to get the area of the triangle.

A=L x W + the area of the triangle

Triangle = (L x W) /2
break ceiling up into squares or rectangles and then mutiply the length by the width of each rectangle or square and add together
