Can you spray paint a ceiling fan?

I paid a lot for a fan that's shiny brass which I don't like any more. Can I take it down and paint it with hammered metal spray paint for a different look? Can you spray paint a ceiling fan?
You might have to put a coat of primer first on the brass, or the metal paint won't adhereCan you spray paint a ceiling fan?
You can, whether or not it will look nice is another question.
I would spray a small area on the hidden top side of the fan, while its still up there to see..

1. Will it adhere to the surface.

2. How does it look.

Remember don't switch it on until the paint dries unless you want to paint the walls also.
yes...give it three or four light coats for best results
yeah you should be able to just make sure its dry before turning it on although would make a cool effect on the walls hmm will have to try that turn on a ceiling fan with wet paint on it
Why the hell would you ask that? You can paint anything but liquid.

But since you asked, I'm thinking you need a reminder to turn it off first.
yes you can just make sure you don't get it on any mechanical parts. you should probably take it apart to do this project. (it would be a lot easier to paint anyways!)

make sure you follow the directions on the can like if you need to sand it first or just wipe it down.
TAKE IT TO A LOCAL POWDERCOATER
TAKE IT DOWN AND CLEAN IT WELL. YOU WILL THEN HAVE TO GIVE IT A LIGHT SANDING SO THAT THAT PAINT WILL ADHERE TO IT. IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL COLORS DO THE SAME AS ABOVE AND GIVE IT A FEW COATS OF YACHT VARNISH SANDING LIGHTLY IN BETWEEN COATINGS 3 SHOULD BE ENOUGH.
