Would you use regular white ceiling paint in a bathroom? Or do you use something glossier?

I tend to agree more with sam m above , do not use lowes or home depot if you smell their paints you will realize they are diluted with ammonia it often takes more coats to cover because of this. plus it is just low quality paint all together.either go to a Sherwin Williams paint store and get their paint made just for bathrooms , I prefer PPG paints but SW will do , paint is like everything else you get what you pay for , as far as the builder above suggesting flat , you can use it , but as with most new built houses they are painted the cheapest way, and normally low quality workmanship . the more sheen (shine) the paint has the better protection you get , . if you are unable to get a paint made just for baths, you can by an additive for latex paints to prevent mildew at most ACE hardware stores it helps for awhile.. but it is the quality of the paint that counts , I would recommend you use a paint store , because they specialize in paint products only.Would you use regular white ceiling paint in a bathroom? I find it best to tint the primer just a little to about the same color as I'm painting. This way the top coat tends to cover and blend a little easier.

NO.

There is special paint for bathrooms, it has an anti-mold in it, you can got to a hardware store and find tins of bathroom paint and they can add what ever color you want
They make paint that is specifically for ceilings. It is a flat finish.

I wouldnt know why you would want something glossier. Depending on your conditions (mildew etc) you may need a good primer and an anti mildew additive to your ceiling paint
I would check at Home Depot or Lowe's but I do know that they make a paint for ceilings and especially for bathrooms due to the high moisture content. I am really not sure of the density of the paint, but I am currently redoing my home and the bathrooms are next on the agenda so I will be looking forward to the other answers you receive. I also know that the folks at Home Depot have been very helpful to us.
anything you like just a bathroom, flat white latex will work just fine. if it was over a shower stall then I would consider something else, but even then it is not an issue
You should use one specifically made for bathrooms.

They make bathroom paint; it's more resistant to high humidity, mold, whatever.
use perma white paint special designed for bath has mildecide in it can be tinted to light colors or use as is go with the satin finish not to glossy and with the sheen it will resist moisture
If I understand your question correctly -- paint the entire bathroom, not just the ceiling. Either way, I personally would use a gloss in the bathroom -- much easier to clean (hairspray, etc gets sticky), resists mildew better and it will give a small room 'light' (reflection) so it will feel bigger.
Hi i am a house painter %26amp; you should use kithcen and bath ( you can buy anywere ) paint but i would use a semi gloss its cost eficcient . make sure you do the ceilling before walls . it doesnt have to be the same colour but the same paint on walls . you need semi gloss because of the moisture from the shower etc. i hope i helped you
